Dr. Basia Reed graduated from the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine.
Growing up in Lombard, IL, where she still resides with her husband, she enjoyed the companionship of many cats, and her family fostered cats for over seven years. This experience instilled in her a deep love for all creatures, great and small. She has a special interest in exotic companion animals, and ferrets are her favorite! She cared for a wonderful pair of ferrets in her high school years. She went to College of DuPage for two years, and then North Central College for three years for her undergraduate studies.
When not caring for furry, feathered, and scaly friends, she enjoys crocheting small plushies, sewing costumes, drawing, swimming, hiking, and playing games that have puzzle-solving elements. She lives with a shih tzu named Cooper and two cats named Tendo and Sougo. She is thrilled to be on the Carol Stream Animal Hospital team and is committed to continuous learning to stay at the forefront of veterinary medicine.
